‘What on Earth’ has been written in response to working mainly with children who had little or no experience of church or Christianity. This resource is designed to help children to hear the Gospel in a clear and fun way, allowing them the opportunity to respond if appropriate.
It is becoming more common for churches in the UK to have very few (if any) children in their numbers and so this outreach material enables churches to connect children to Christ through weekday or holiday clubs. ‘What on Earth’ is about bringing children to faith before enabling them to share that faith. However, we have found that without being told to evangelise, children who have had a great time will naturally go home and tell anyone who will listen and so evangelism happens spontaneously and without a rigid structure.
We have had high percentages of children and adult leaders making a first commitment, inviting Christ into their lives through using this material. But it is not all about the material. It is about building good relationships with the young people and covering everything in prayer. With God at the centre, amazing things will happen.
This material is aimed at children aged 5-11, with teenage helpers and adult leaders.
